We imported our first dogs into the US in November of 2001 from the elite Meignaniere lines breed by Louis Delommeau, who is internationally famous for breeding, training, hunting and showing Fauves. We traveled to France to study under French hunting judges and had the assistance of three judges and the president of the Fauve Club of France in selecting our foundation stock. We had researched the breed, but seeing Fauves hunt and having the dogs curled up in our laps solidified our decision. It was love at first sight and we’ve never regretted the addition of Sprig and Sprite to our kennel. BFDB is the main breed we now raise.
Our first litter was whelped in July of 2003. Angelique, D'Arcy, Calamity, Clouseau, and Chase all have been shown in confirmation and have become UKC champions. Noel is currently being shown.
We have over 35 years of experience in showing for conformation and obedience, as well as training for search and rescue, assistance work for the handicapped, therapy, and in more recent years began hunting rabbits, quail, and pheasants.
